Pets We Have Helped
Madeline lived in Brooklyn, NY with her mom Suzanne. She was diagnosed with small cell GI lymphoma in 2013. Her mom and vets worked closely exploring every possible option and treatment which proved to be extremely expensive. As a last resort, a "rescue" medication was tried and The Murphee and Sugar Angel Foundation assisted by paying for half of the cost of the medication so as to try to extend Madeline's life and quality of life. Sadly, Madeline did cross the bridge shortly after. RIP Madeline!
Mitzi was diagnosed March 2015 with inoperable cancer of her stomach and lungs. She was "about" 14 and mom Diana requested assistance from the foundation to assist with costs associated with palliative care. Sadly, Mitzi's health deteroriated very rapidly. The foundation was able to provide the funding to pay for the costs of assisting Mitzi to cross the rainbow bridge.
Jinx is an 8 year old pug who lives in Kansas. He was diagnosed with Diabetes and with Cushings Disease. The foundation is assisting by providing assistance towards vet office visits, lab tests, and medications.
Dudits it's is a 10 year old boy who lives in Virginia. He was diagnosed with Plasmactoma and extensive surgery was needed. With surgery his prognosis was deemed to be good. The foundation contributed to a portion of the surgery and to the specialist office visit.
Poor Dova swallowed a cat toy/chew and required emergency surgery to survive. The surgery bill and associated medical bills were quite high and Dova needed to stay overnight for several nights in the emergency room. The foundation contributed funds to offset the medical bills associated with performing the successful surgery and to help with the pneumonia she also developed. Friends of the fund as well as the Facebook community joined in to assist us in raising additional funds. Dova is now home (Ohio) with her mom and healing well.
Molly was hit by a car in June 2015 which resulted in a fractured pelvis. Additionally, she required emergency hernia repair to be able to save her life and offer her a good chance at healing. Molly is a two year old rescue dog. Her mother contacted the foundation for assistance and the foundation was able to contribute to Molly's surgery.
Gypsy is from Texas. Her family was in need of assistance in helping her cross the rainbow bridge with dignity. The foundation paid for her to be humanly euthanized when she and her family were ready. She was 16.
Little Cat was from the Reading, PA area. She was 19 years old. Little Cat was brought to her vet for breathing difficulties and her mom was told that there was nothing they could do for her. The foundation assisted with her final vet expense.
Jack is a 2 year old boy who lives with his family in Jackson, Missouri. Jack had been diagnosed with lymphoma and his family needed out assistance in helping him cross the rainbow bridge.
Andy is a 2 and half year old male kitty who lives in Connecticut He requires surgery to repair a brain shunt. The foundation contributed to his surgery by raising funds on Facebook and an amazing and very generous donor matched our page likes!
